"Twas the night before Christmas,
when all through the house
Not a creature was stirring,
not even a mouse.
The stockings were hung by the chimney with care,
In hopes that St Nicholas
soon would be there."
~~Clement Clarke Moore
These are a few of the stockings I have knitted for my children, their husbands and wives, my nieces and nephews, their wives and husbands, and my grandchildren.
Even the children of a few close friends received my knitted Christmas gifts.
I have made so many that I have lost count.
I've been told I could make money knitting and selling these,
but my fingers are getting old,
and another generation wants some.
It might be time to retire the knitter,
but not the pattern.
Lessons will be offered free...
