I couldn't imagine last winter that I would be posting anything that remotely resembled winter this summer. But the seed cones are growing on the white pine in the backyard, and the sap looks like drops of frozen dew in the morning.
Lori Bailey, one of our Facebook friends, shared a beautiful picture of a leaf dripping sap at every pointed edge, and it reminded me that I needed to grab this picture before the cones matured. I had noticed it several times while walking the yard with Buddy the Dog.
So, thank you, Lori, for sharing your picture.
Your share was much more beautiful,
but nature is pretty awesome!
If anyone is interested in using pinecones In craft projects,
here is a simple way to remove the sap and make your house smell like a million dollars!
