"Yesterday the twig was brown and bare;
To-day the glint of green is there;
Tomorrow will be leaflets spare;
I know no thing so wondrous fair,
No miracle so strangely rare.
I wonder what will next be there!"
~~L.H. Bailey
After I finished subbing at Riddle today, I took some time to walk through our Arboretum.
Winter has been cruel and there is a lot of damage.
Boughs have broken off and are leaning against the fence and many broken birdhouses litter the walk.
Number posts are scattered here and there and need to be reassigned.
The good news is that trees and prairie plots are waking up.
It's time for a spring cleaning...
