“Spring work is going on with joyful enthusiasm.” The sun was out shining early during my walk on the trail.
(And why aren't these called "Purplebuds" instead of "Redbuds"?) ~Nancy ~ 110/365 “Is the spring coming?” he said. “What is it like?”… Up in the press box, the rain didn't bother us as we worked the track meet.
The athletes were happy to see the sun break through the clouds as the sudden showers passed overhead. ~Nancy ~ 110/365 "The best thing one can do when it's raining is to let it rain." A rainy Sunday with a book and Café con leche.
(Thank you Sara Marin De Martinez for the recipe and Sara and Polly for the coffee!) I'm almost finished reading this book, and yet to have found a story as good as my parents' love story. I will share someday. Cassidy

Today was all about a trip to St. Louis with Chad and Marti and lunch with Taylor to celebrate her running the half marathon tomorrow. Our first plans were changed from "The Hill" to Soulard and this sweet little Irish pub. It was fantastic and I will return again SOON!
Love my family!
"Soulard is a historic French neighborhood in St. Louis, Missouri. It is named for Antoine Soulard, who first began to develop the land. Soulard was a surveyor for the Spanish government and a refugee from the French Revolution in the 1790's"
After lunch and a walk through the neighborhood,
we treated ourselves to a cupcake at "The Sweet Divine".
Taylor and I split the winner of the Food Network's Cupcake Wars, the "Drunken Pig"
This little delectable cupcake is made from Newcastle Beer and sharp cheddar cheese with a, sharp cheddar cream cheese frosting topped with BACON!
What a great day!
