"Der April macht was er will." This weekend, when I was talking to my mother,
we were comparing the weather we've been having in Illinois to the weather where she lives in Oregon. We were laughing at its unpredictability, and she quoted the little adage above. This is one I don't remember hearing growing up, and in our family, we had many. Most of them were funny, very colloquial, and with plenty of family connections. As I drove home, the weather was beautiful, and I was planning an early evening walk. With this front on the move, that is not going to happen. As I took a minute to photograph the look of spring in Illinois, I thought of Mom's words... ~Nancy ~ 118/365 With the little sun this morning,
