I have to grab my pictures in the evening.
This little guy was very willing to pose.
A walk through the yard was as far as I needed to go...

Shannon and I have been on the road all week.
I have to grab my pictures in the evening. This little guy was very willing to pose. A walk through the yard was as far as I needed to go... ~Nancy ~ 202/365

"Do the difficult things while they are easy and do the great things while they are small. This Eastern Tiger Swallowtail seems to have survived a lot in its short life.
Even with torn wings, it is still beautiful... ~Nancy ~ 201/365 "Softball. Warming up... "It’s always about wanting to one-up myself from the day before. I've lost track of how many uniforms Ashton has worn.
With all of the sports she has played and all of the teams, we tried to count as she played late into the evening. Before the field lights went on and after the sun was finally behind the trees, I took these shots through the fence. She had finished her season with the Capital City Chaos, and was invited to help the Mattoon Pride when they lost a couple of girls. She loves her new coach, Wade Bradley, and we love the smile on her face. On this day, they won all three of their games and on Sunday, she leaves with her team to travel to South Carolina where they will continue their season. Good luck and safe travels, Ashton and the "Pride"... ~Nancy ~ 200/365 "There are some four million different kinds of animals and plants in the world. With cool weather and plenty of sunshine, it was a perfect day to spend in the arboretum cleaning out garden beds and prairie plots. The best part is seeing "how our garden grows".
The Hazelnut "Trub" (a plant that cannot decide if it is a tree or a shrub) is producing for the second year. The wildlife love them, and we love the wildlife... ~Nancy ~ 199/365 "When I would recreate myself, Tom and I took an early, early, early morning trip to southern Illinois. We stopped at the cypress pond in Heron Pond. I am always fascinated by "nursery logs"... We walked the trails that were still dark. We took some time to stop to snap a few roadside pictures.
It just seemed like, with temperatures in the 70's, a perfect time to head "south". ~Nancy ~ 197/365 "I pledge my head to clearer thinking, "To Make the Best Better" "Learn by Doing" "I believe in 4-H Club work for the opportunity it will give me to become a useful citizen. I remember 4-H Week when our kids were younger.
It was always a good time with lots of wonderful memories. The best part about this year's fair is the much, much cooler temperatures. Tonight it was hoodies and jeans and no worry about the animals in the heat. ~Nancy ~ 196/365 "A life without love is like a year without summer." A cool summer evening after the storm passed and the cold front moved through...
~Nancy ~ 195/365 "Victory is in the quality of the competition, not just the final score." ...And the quality of the competition was outstanding!
The game was exciting, and the Pana All-Star team played with heart. The final score and the Rams' victory came with battles, but the smiles, the joy, and the memories are more of a reward than all the trophies ever could be... ~Nancy ~ 194/365 "Somehow I kept my head above water. We thought last night's storm would cancel the swim meet!
Loved watching Marley and Sadie swim for the Shelbyville Lakers! ~Nancy ~ 193/365 "Roll out those lazy, hazy, crazy days of summer..." It was just one of those days...
