“Every child is an artist, I took a walk down Western Avenue over lunch. This little bench and a bucket of chalk was left on the sidewalk along the way. Many of the students pass this bench as they walk to school, and today was a beautiful fall day to walk. "Angel" had left her bright sun with her signature. Thank you to whoever lives in this house for the bench and the chalk. Decatur's St. Teresa earned first place as a team for the women, while Shelbyville took the honors for the men. A beautiful day and a beautiful sport... ~Nancy ~ 290/365 "Corn wind in the fall, come off the black lands, The corn is heavy on the stalks absorbing this October rain.

~Nancy ~ 286/365 "Even if something is left undone, everyone must take time to sit still and watch the leaves turn." The trees are just starting their show. It rained most of the day with gray skies. I finally had to get outside for a drive and some color. I wasn't disappointed... ~Nancy ~ 285/365
"The season for enjoying the fullness of life -- partaking of the harvest, The tomatoes are taking longer to ripen.
My days are numbered. It will be a long winter of store tomatoes on sandwiches and salads. That must be the reason we turn to soup and chili... ~Nancy ~ 282/365 |
