Flowering Spurge

I planted three new wildflower beds this spring.
The "shade bed" found seedlings above ground before the others,
and this, one of my favorite flowers, bloomed first.
Often called the "Prairie Baby's Breath",
it began blooming earlier this week.

IHSA State Baseball Semi-Finals

The Metamora Redbirds played in the semi-final game of the 3A State Finals at Silver Cross Field in Joliet.
They lost 8-3 to Lemont who went on to win the state championship.
It was an exciting game, and we never gave up hope that we could win.
