It was 7° outside.
Another, (yes, another) indoor-recess.
I was looking at some books with some of the students when they said, "Mrs. Brachbill! Look at that bird!"
Expecting another starling or sparrow,
I looked.
A robin!
We very, very carefully cranked open the window to get a better look.
The robin had no song today,
but was a very, very welcome sight!

Today is Chad's (my son's) birthday.
I have always said that by his birthday,
I could see the glimpse of a light at the end of the winter tunnel.
This morning as I looked at the extended forecast,
I thought that I really didn't see any light this year.
With this post,
in spite of the 50% chance of more snow tomorrow,
there is, indeed, light...
