"My grandmother started walking five miles a day when she was sixty.
She's ninety-seven now,
and we don't know where the hell she is."
~~Ellen DeGeneres
Today I walked 4.6 miles to Georgetown.
I used a map app on my phone,
which is the best and quickest way to get around.
I didn't want to retrace my steps so I could see as much as possible,
and the walk was long, but just pretty much perfect.
You can see where I stopped at the historic "Old Stone House" on the lower southwest corner and explored the backyard,
and in the upper northwest corner, I stopped in a camera store.

I fell in love with all of the colors of Georgetown,
...and the row houses.
Finally, as my walk took me back to Embassy Row on Massachusetts Avenue in Washington,
I passed this statue at the Embassy of Indonesia. It is a 15 foot high statue of Saraswati,
the Hindu goddess of education and wisdom, and at her feet sit these children.

My last day in Washington on foot.
