"When I was a boy, there was but one permanent ambition among my comrades in our village on the west bank of the Mississippi River. That was, to be a steamboatman." It seems hard to believe that I was in St. Louis just last week,
and now here I am in New Orleans watching the wheel of the steamboat "Natchez" churning up the "Big Muddy"... ~Nancy ~ 180/365 “Louisiana in September was like an obscene phone call from nature. anticipating a day spent at Holiday World. It's Christmas every single day in this little town... ~Nancy ~ 174/365 "These days it's cool to be ethnic and to be different, It's summer,
and the tomatoes are already turning green and looking like something that needs to be fried up in a pan... ~ Nancy ~ 173/365 "Summertime / An' the livin' is easy." I can only hope the sun shone the same way for you on this Summer Solstice...
