Today just seemed like the perfect day to share it.

The photo below was captured this afternoon in Shelbyville as I returned with Shannon from a workshop.
Today the leaves on the trees seemed at the height of their color which was magnified by the rain and overcast skies.

Generations

I taught today at Windsor High School.
As I closed the door behind me, I noticed this old handle on the door.
Beginning with the Class of 1937, this handle has opened the door to this classroom for 77 years.
It gave me pause to think of all of the generations of students and teachers that have passed through...

Pumpkin Cart

I drove the long way home from Tuscola.
I went through Arthur and Amish Country,
and pulled off near the Pumpkin Patch to capture this picture.
I love the old weathered cart filled with pumpkins.

On a drive through Strasburg,
I passed what looked like a church meeting.
Spying a wagon filled with straw bales,
I asked whether they were planning a hay-ride.
It turned out that the yard was decorated for a fall outdoor wedding to be held tomorrow.

For taking the time to bravely stop and ask,
I was able to snap this picture and visit with old friends.

Turkey Walk

I first saw this family of "Poults" back in June.
Now they are seemingly all grown up,
but are still moving together in a flock as autumn's first freezing temperatures hit hard.

This afternoon I took a quick walk on the trail right after school.
I was surprised to see them in a section that is beyond their old territory.

I am always amazed at what "Mother Nature" puts in front of me...

Flannel Morning
