An afternoon walk with Shannon, Ashton, and Buddy finds signs of autumn along the trail.
I'm not even sure what this little box is, but loved the "home-made" rustic look of it among the trees. ~Nancy ~ 272/365

A walk on a Saturday morning Great Strides CF Event just wore out little Grayden Bennett. ~Nancy ~ 271/365 "I watched a little face sleeping,   "Conservation is a state of harmony between men and land." Today I learned that these little benches are called "Leopold Benches".
Testing them out, they were more comfortable than I thought they would be, and found some plans to build them. I just might give it a try... ~Nancy ~ 270/365

As the sun was setting in the west,
several combines were empting their corn into waiting trucks. This week has seen the start of harvest, and the sound of elevator fans will be heard among the night sounds... ~Nancy ~ 268/365

 We "jeeped" to the 20th Annual Corvette Fun Fest in Effingham where over 15,000 Corvettes were present to strut their stuff. We arrived as things were shutting down, but found some beautiful cars and watched the Celebrity Choice Awards. Lots of "engine revving" and proud owners.

Emma Henderson is a freshman on the Tuscola Cross Country team.
Today Tuscola hosted the Annual Tuscola Classic with 19 schools participating. Emma ran a PR of 20:45.55 in the Three Mile Run at Tuscola Classic, placing 19th. I love to watch these girls run... ~Nancy ~ 263/365 |
