"November's sky is chill and drear,
November's leaf is red and sear."

"November's sky is chill and drear, I had just thought to myself that everything I was seeing was a shade of gray or brown.
And then I looked closer... ~Nancy ~ 323/365

“It would seem from this fact, I had a visitor on my morning walk.
She so blended into the backdrop of bare trees and dry leaves, that I almost missed her... ~Nancy ~ 322/365 "When I'm home, I like a cozy, comfortable, calming space." She is more like a dog than a cat,
and yet she is more independent than most dogs. I'm happy that she found us, and always comes in when we call... ~Nancy ~ 321/365 "I want to be different. Along the General Dacey Trail in Shelbyville, Illinois.
~Nancy ~ 320/365 ...popsicle sticks representing the number of "ups and downs" on the dam hill. The annual fund-raiser was a huge success with the Shelbyville High School and Middle School Wrestlers selling chances to estimate the number of times they could collectively run up and down the dam hill. My guess of 965 fell a little short, but it was still a nice way to spend a Saturday morning watching a great bunch of boys and girl with a HUGE amount of energy taking on THE hill. Clayton Peterson came in first with 50, Noah Applegate was second with 47, and Ben Houska was third with 46! One word. "Wow!" It won't be long until we hear the words, "Let's wrestle!"
~Nancy ~ 319/365 I have been looking at these hay bales on my commute to Riddle Elementary School for over a month.
I pulled off the road more than once to photograph them, but was never happy with the results. Tonight, I tried one more time. The autumn-colored leaves were gone, and it was getting dark, but the sunset was amazing. I had no picture and was running out of light. Even on this county road, there were no cars, and it felt as peaceful as it looks... ~Nancy ~ 318/365 "Since the 1970s, I've been a big fan of attending conferences as a great way to learn, network, socialize and enjoy a new environment. It's always refreshing to get out and see a whole new world." "Shannon and her mom".
That's who we are. Recess TEC, Inc. had a wonderful time presenting, sharing, making new friends, and hugging old friends at IETC 2013. We've presented in Springfield at this conference many times, but this was our first "gig" as "spotlight presenters" sharing one of the big rooms with keynote speaker, Kevin Honeycutt. Listening to Kevin, Shannon and I both felt like he had climbed into our heads. He was preaching the "why" and we were sharing the "how". We guarantee that within minutes, Kevin will put the fire back in your belly. With this picture, we want to thank everyone for "attending" our sessions, and keeping it "fun". That's what recess is for, and we hope we have helped make school, fun, too... ~Nancy ~ 317/365 (And I LOVE these smiles!) "The real voyage of discovery consists not in seeking new landscapes, but in having new eyes." IETC ~ 2013
Springfield, Illinois Fun in the Crowne Plaza lobby! ~Nancy ~ 316/365 "The first fall of snow is not only an event, It is early in the season for this event,
but it was still magical. The best part of the magic was that it was gone by noon... ~Nancy ~ 315/365 "In war, there are no unwounded soldiers." The students love to honor our veterans.
