When men reach their sixties and retire, they go to pieces.
Women go right on cooking.
~Gail Sheehy
Today I attended an after-school retirement gathering for the much loved secretary, Mrs. Sudduth, at North Ward Elementary School in Tuscola.
Mrs. Sudduth has stitched this memento for every teacher that has retired.
This year, for her retirement, Shannon was able to get the pattern and stitched the same picture for Mrs. Sudduth as a surprise.
I learned today that Mrs. Sudduth is a wonderful cook and has a heart of gold.
I know she will be missed,
but I have a feeling that the teachers and staff will see her often delivering treats.
