Dove

The doves have claimed the front porch nest that was home to robins for the last two years.
They have been taking turns sitting on the nest under the eaves,
and I have not found it unguarded yet.

They seem to be the first birds this spring to be incubating,
since we have not found any robin's nest with eggs.

I love waking to their song in the "mourning"...
