I have taken a temporary long-term substituting job in Tuscola in a fourth grade classroom.
I have been with the students since "Day 1" and truly enjoyed my first week back.
I feel, in many ways, like I've stepped back in time teaching in a small community.
The superintendent is seen every single day in every single building,
and each and every person on the staff is patient, helpful, and have made me feel very much a part of the team.
They also have the best "Technology Coordinator" in the world.
Seriously.
The one thing that I had forgotten about is "Milk Breaks".
Every single day, after PE, I take the students into the cafeteria where they each get a carton of milk.
It's cold out of the cooler, and they all drink every, single drop.
