When Ron Ghere and I were involved with our EIU outdoor education workshops each summer,
one of the best things we learned was how to turn an acorn cap into a whistle.
Who doesn't love to pass on that "skill" to a bunch of ten-year-olds who can then someday share it with their own children!
I usually have a cap close by, and my grandchildren always come running with a new one when they find them...
