Last night I had a "Sleep-Over" with my granddaughter, Ashton.
She will turn 12 next month.
(How is that possible?!)
I am her "Grandma Mi".
(We're not quite sure where the name "Mi" came from,
but she gave it to me when she first began to talk.)
My bed was the futon in her "play room",
and this was the first thing I saw when I opened my eyes this morning,
painted on the wall of the room.
I felt like I was hurled through time and space back to the sixties, and I was once again young.
Ashton is always happy and always smiling,
and that is how she makes me feel when I am with her.
Happy.
She really is a "flower child".
Peace!
