Today was the Bay Area Maker Faire.
What is a "Maker Faire" you ask?
"Maker Faire is the Greatest Show (and Tell) on Earth,
a family-friendly festival of invention, creativity and resourcefulness,
and a celebration of the Maker movement."
It has its roots in the Bay Area and began there in 2006 where it is "part science fair, part county fair, and part something entirely new, Maker Faire is an all-ages gathering of tech enthusiasts, crafters, educators, tinkerers, hobbyists, engineers, science clubs, authors, artists, students, and commercial exhibitors.
All of these “makers” come to Maker Faire to show what they have made and to share what they have learned."
I was my sister's guest while she was attending with Intel,
one of the sponsors of the Bay Area Maker Faire.
We arrived early and our senses were overwhelmed for as long as we were there.
With so many amazing things to see and do,
children everywhere were encouraged to color "outside of the lines".
